When I made the decision to participate in a 10K open water swimming event, I immediately realized that I would need the assistance of a nutrition specialist. Unfortunately, finding a professional in this field who truly understands the intricacies of nutrition for endurance sports proved to be quite challenging. However, my fortune changed when I had the opportunity to meet David. He was a true blessing for me, as he had a deep understanding of my specific needs and was able to create a meal plan that was absolutely perfect.
Thanks to David's guidance, I never felt hungry and was able to maintain a sufficient level of energy to effectively engage in 6 swimming pool sessions and 3 gym sessions per week. As a result, I was able to give my best during workouts and achieve outstanding results. Throughout the season, I managed to lose approximately 18 pounds, all while successfully participating in 8 different events ranging from a mile to 10 kilometres. Additionally, David assisted me in developing the optimal fuelling strategy for the competition. We practiced this strategy in advance, ensuring that I went into the event with complete confidence in my abilities.
During the last 10K event, despite challenging conditions such as waves, rain, and incredibly cold weather, I was able to secure second place in my age group. This achievement solidified my belief in David's expertise and our successful partnership. Looking ahead, I am thrilled to continue working with him. After a well-deserved two-week break, we will begin preparations for a 25K swimming event next summer. I am confident that with David's support, I will be able to take on this new challenge and achieve even greater heights in my swimming journey.
